When one is younger and picking up a crayon for the first time, the hand that one picks up that crayon with is more than likely the predominant hand that will be used a majority of the time. In order to find out if one is left or right handed there are a few simple things that can be done for that to be determined. If one has an itch in the center of their back, which hand goes to scratch that itch first? When one is winking, which eye does that winking without forethought? When one tilts their head to which shoulder do they tilt it? Doing these simple tasks and answering the question can in turn enable one to determine which hand is predominant, meaning whether one is ultimately left or right handed.
